In 1992, Amanda Bossard began her study of marine biology in Anchorage in Alaska at the University of Alaska Pacific. Bossard started her journey working in the commercial seafood sector in the year 1999. In that year she worked on Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat. It was later converted into a fish tender. Otolith was created by Philadelphia in the year 2000 by Bella Bossard and is currently mother to two kids with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. Her husband has a long history in the fish industry that often means they stay separate for five months or more. It is during this time that they're focused on their environmental and financial targets. Bossard and her son Andre and Isabella, her daughter Isabella are scheduled to return home to Southeast Alaska every summer as deckhands in the harvest of wild salmon. The two-month period is when Bossard and her daughter Isabella utilize hooks and lines to catch their target salmon. Aritan will then sell their catch to local processors. Amanda Bossard works as an Anchor/MMJ at News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx. She has been with the station since November of 2015. She's passionate about telling impactful stories and highlighting every good thing taking place in the communities she serves.
